Haarlem – Central Station – windows and window frames restoration

I got this assignment thanks to a company specialized in historical monument restoration (Metselgoed). Based on an early inspection of the wooden parts and masonry, it was necessary to intervene on most of the openings, and according to precise specifications. For instance, a sash window that almost broke down because too many wooden joints were rotten, should not be replaced. Only those joints had to be cleaned from any rotten wood parts, had to be replaced by a Oregon Pine profiled made as original, and mounted as precise as required before being painted. Joints were filled with an elastic repair compound that have comparable elasticity/dilatation to wood.
